I heard it too; the music was by the Balanescu Quartet, from their
remarkable CD *Possessed*, on which they adapt to string quartet five
klassic kraftwerk songs: Robots, the Model, Autobahn (!), Computer
Love and Pocket Calculator. They also do a David Byrne song from his
freaky CD *Uh Oh*. Highly recommended.
Best Kraftwerk cover I've heard lately, though, is ex-Beefheart
guitarist Gary Lucas' solo acoustic version of Autobahn from his
*@Paradiso* CD.
