BULLITT bitten by THE BLACK DOG
The Bullitt single is out!
The "Bullitt" title tune will be recognisable to many as the
track featured on the new Ford Puma car commercial, in which
footage of Steve McQueen (taken from the 60's film Bullitt) is
cleverly incorporated to make it appear as though he's driving
the new Puma car. This laid-back, jazzy tune is a classic
example of 60's lounge-music style, composed by the legendary
film musician LALO SCHIFRIN (also responsible for the theme
music to Mission Impossible and Dirty Harry). The seminal
"Bullitt" track has been dramatically re-worked by THE BLACK DOG
(whose fifth album "Music For Adverts (and short films)" was
decribed by The Face as 'Still (literally) years ahead'). Three
very different intepretations by The Black Dog are provided, all
retaining the original spirit of the "Bullitt" title track.
