I've just been exposed to Lexaunculpt and got to admit that I'm amazed - it
is really beautiful, especially slow tracks. However, it is not what I was
going to say.
I felt that it is very alike to Ae. Approach to sounds, melodies, mood.
Very similar. Yet it is not seen by me as someting bad. They are really
close to Ae not in the sound itself but in the quality (if that word might
be used for music). They seem to feel what reality Ae were in while making
their tracks. They see idm not as a assembly of bleeps and blops - it is the
world made through the minds of dudes with sound computer. I got to admit
that my approach to previous thread "Ae clones" was rather simple for me -
clones are bad and Ae cannot be cloned. Now I see that my favs might be used
as background for new music roots. It is really good.
