News from the Smallfish website about
a new label by former Clear label head
clair.

Label news=85 =91Focus Music Ltd=92

Another new label to come out of London!=20
This one run by ex Clear founder Clair and
our very own Nick Fish! The label simply
titled =91focus=92 will work with artists that bring
a similar music policy as Clear. Both Nick
and Clair have very diverse tastes in music
so arguments around the office should be
good!

The first few releases are scheduled to hit
the shops in late Oct and the release plans
for the end of the year are already packed.
The first 12" single is by Plus One, a south
London boy who has written spine tingly
music and produced it in the Plaid bubble!
It certainly is not a million miles away from
what Plaid do themselves, but with added
innocence (if that=92s possible?).=20

The Aphelion boys came at us with what
they thought to be music sounding too old?
Clair and Nick had no idea what they were
on about. The music to be released from
Aphelion is still being compiled from
various CDs so a 12" followed by an album
is due out in October 99. How would we
describe their music? Somewhere between
Global Communications and B12!

=91focus music=92 is the management part of
the company set up to give independent
advice to people who need a bit of help.
Clair has spent years giving people bits of
advice on the parts of running a label that
not everybody considers when they start. So
