        From a nonexpert nonfan:

Glass is a pomo wet dream avant-minimalist classical composer of the 60's
and on, big Steven Reich and idm influence, big fan and virtuoso
of the bleepbloop music.  Did a flick about the machinization of society
with a daunting tribal name meaning "society out of balance".  Extent o'
me own knowledge-- have no clue about current idm connections.
