A durable carpet was glued onto the flooring. The mistake = was not to put the floor beams on neoprene or some other isolating = material. The raised floor resonated and putting a subwoofer directly = on the floor was too much at certain frequencies. Then there was the = problem of pulling the cables through the floor and having to move gear = around to get to a hatch. My current setup has the gear along the walls with =E2=80=9Cpeninsulas" = of gear sticking out so all of the cabling is either along the walls or = in a peninsula. I can always get to the cables and I don=E2=80=99t have = a floor that acts like a resonator at low frequencies. Eric
