they released two 12"es on their on label before.. more of 'the very fine same' Tplay - untitled - 12" - SND - SND1:5 Pretty impressive first release on this English label from Sheffield (?). Too less information, and for sure it's music that counts, but also that is somewhat difficult to describe. Track one for instance sounds like 'Moodymann visits Berlin', vague steady beats together with elusive jazzy bells. Track two opens the real deal, with more vague crispy sounds coming along with warm synth on back. Track three on side a goes more into the dark. On side two, track three from side re-appears somewhat more clearly. They remind to the filtered sounds of Maurizio, but for sure take an own life. As too the last track does, pretty minimalistic and mind blowing again. Just get it, one of the deeper things of this year. Newtables - 21, 22, 23, 34, 35, 36 - 12" - SND - snd2 Second release on this label from Sheffield. Six tracks this time, mostly in the same mysterious style as the first impressive release. Again good original turns of the Berlin sound. 21 mostly goes into a warm way, 22 has a straight kick easily flowing soft to hard. Last on side a is 23 a short more ambient noise track. Side b again hosts three tracks moving somewhat more away of the sound of the first release and side a. First track is more down tempo in a dubby way, second track goes even more in low bass and ambient, last track comes somewhat more above the water. Fine release again!
