I went to see mixmaster morris spin the other night here in
Montreal. He's an excellently smooth dj, and i thoroughly enjoyed the
show, but the crowds these days are geared towards anything that
isn't danceable, and thus most of the stuff he played had beats(don't
get me wrong, i love the beats, but i would expect someone like
morris would especially shine djing more ambient tracks...)
In any case, he played a gorgeous triphop/lounge tune which i asked
him the name of...it was Terry Callier - Love Theme...(i don't know
the whole track name). Has anyone heard of this guy? Does he have a
full album? What's the story here? This is pretty much the first trip
hop with male vocals that i've ever taken a fancy to...help would be
appreciated!
Also, with all these posts on madonna and trashing of posts on
madonna, i've come to realize that there are now as many posts of the
latter as there are of the former. Realize that it can't be helped.
