i don't think it's a lack of women making the music...i think it's the
same question as why aren't there more women in technical
computer-related jobs. i know that where i work the male to female
programmer ratio is 1:8 (at best!), and the art dept was the same until
just recently. most most of my female friends say that idm is "so
cold." i don't get it.
i do have to say that my interest in idm was peaked my my ex. it seems
that all the girls i know that are into it got that way from a
boyfriend, brother or schoolmate.
i'm not sure if there is one, true explanation. i know that i
personally don't mind the lack of female presence at shows. it leaves
more cute boy opportunitys for me!
