Wisdom of Harry is Peter Astor. late of nostalgic faves, Creation Records'
Weather Prophets and The Loft. he's been recording low-key electronic music
as Wisdom of Harry, State River Widening, and Ellis Island Sound (the last
two with partners, the first solo). there's a Wisdom of Harry CD due out on
Matador - Stars of Super 8 - just a collection of tracks from the
sought-after WoH 7"s. if you're in the UK, it's already available on Astor's
(?) label. it's pretty good. eclectic bedroom electronic-flavored stuff with
those cool, frosty Astor vocals. lots of different styles. sometimes sounds
like a mix-up of Weatherall, Beck, and Belle & Sebastian.
