Sorry Chris Hilker, I know you did a lot of work on this and, but from
your post:
>Results: Chillout Album of the Year
>27 votes: Biosphere: Substrata (All Saints)
>19 votes: Hab: Mapod (Dot)
>15 votes: Orb: Orblivion (Island)
>08 votes: Pete Namlook & HIA: S.H.A.D.O. (Fax)
>40 abstentions
>Winner: Biosphere: Substrata (All Saints)
The clear winner is "abstentions". I missed that, was it a seven inch?
What Label?
As you can see from my humorous response, I don't really agree with
the methodology used to generate the results to this popularity
contest. I didn't "learn" anything. I think the response last time the
new method was under scrutiny was that the old method produced a lot
of 1 vote albums (or choices). What's wrong with that. At least it may
surface something that is VERY good but obscure. Then I (and others)
would get something out of all this.
