This one is for those you into Fila Brazillia, Air, and Mono. Its an
instrumental trip into semi-ambient renditions of trip hop, dub,
detroit techno, breakbeat, tech-house and just about anything else you
can imagine. This CD is couch-compatible as well as dancefloor
friendly. Every song is just RICH with melody, and there's a very
intelligent use of samples.
This CD reminds me of some of the better Fila Brazillia records (Mess,
Maim that Tune, New Codes...etc). The disc has some of the same
incredible orchestration that a group like Blue uses...not literally,
but similar. (Warning) On just a song or two there is some mild
diva-action.
...perfect for Saturday afternoon on a cool, sunny day here in uptown
New Orleans.
