tonite i picked up a cd on the sigma editions label out of (i think) australia. the cd is by a group called minit. it's very minimal abstract electronics cf. rastermusic, 12k, etc. -- very much in the vein of the non-music music i was talking about earlier this week. i don't know much about this label (i found a web site: http://laudanum.net/sigma/) but the minit cd is excellent. minit is listed as having a couple of other releases. anybody heard them? also, there is a release by a group called parmentier in the sigma catalog. according to the information on the site, parmentier is former members of thela, a popular (in the underground sense) experimental outrock trio probably known by most for having a release or two on thurston moore's ecstatic peace label. when thela split, one of the guys formed a solo project called white winged moth, and the others went on to form parmentier. does anybody have this cd? comments? tia, sc
